LAWATAN RASMI KE KILANG PERABOT UNTUK PROJEK NAIK TARAF FASILITI PENGINAPAN PELAJAR

On February 12, 2026, the Head of the Housing Assistance Center (HAC) Unit at USM Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Engineering Campus, Puan Farhana Yahya, led an official visit to a furniture factory. This visit was conducted as part of the monitoring process for the ongoing project to upgrade student accommodation facilities.

This visit serves as an early preparation prior to the arrival of 1,140 units of new furniture, which are scheduled to be supplied to the male students' dormitory at Desasiswa Jaya, USM Engineering Campus, during the upcoming Semester 1 Break of the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

For your information, this project is a pioneering initiative and the first large-scale furniture replacement to be implemented since the campus began its operations.

The implementation of this large-scale project reflects the campus management's commitment to strengthening student support infrastructure, in line with the university's aspiration to provide a conducive, comfortable, and high-quality learning environment.

This visit aims to evaluate the manufacturing process, technical specifications, and quality standards of the furniture to be received, while ensuring compliance with the established requirements and guidelines.

HAC also expresses its appreciation to the factory for their professional cooperation and high level of commitment in ensuring that the furniture production meets the specifications and quality standards set by the university.

It is hoped that this project will have a significant impact on student comfort and satisfaction, while overall supporting the excellence agenda of USM Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Engineering Campus
